Service 02Brand Identity & Logo Design

Make your brandfeel unmistakable.

An identity is what lets people recognize you before they’ve read your name. I build them from one clear idea, so they stay simple to use and hard to confuse with anyone else.

A good fit if you need

  • A first logo for a new name
  • A complete identity for a new business
  • A refresh for a brand that’s outgrown its look
  • Guidelines to keep your team consistent

What an identity includes

More than a logo. Less than you’d fear.

Brand discovery
Understanding what your business believes, who it’s for, and what it needs to be recognized for.
Visual identity
The whole system of how you look: the logo, along with everything that makes you recognizable without it.
Logo creation
A mark developed from an idea and tested at the sizes where it will actually be used.
Wordmarks
When your name is the strongest asset, a carefully drawn typographic logo is often the right answer.
Brand typography
Typefaces chosen for character, legibility, and practical licensing, with guidance on how to use them.
Color palettes
A considered set of colors with real values for screen and print, and rules for how they work together.
Brand guidelines
A clear guide that shows you and your team how to apply the identity consistently.
Brand applications
The identity at work on what you actually use: stationery, social media, packaging, or signage.

A mark should survive being very small.

I test logos early at the smallest size they’ll ever be used, whether that’s a browser tab, a stamp, or the corner of a label. Whatever survives that test is usually what’s worth keeping at every other size too.

How it runs

From a conversation to a working system.

We begin by talking through your business, your audience, and who you’d like to be compared to, or not compared to. I then develop a focused direction, presented with the reasoning behind it and shown in real use rather than floating on a blank page.

After we’ve refined it together, I prepare the final logo files and whatever guidance you’ll need to use them, scaled to fit the size of your team and the project we’ve agreed.
